Black Affordable Sustainable Housing Initiative (BASH)
Canada’s population is booming, with immigration playing a
key role.
Did you know that between 2011 and 2021, 41% of newcomers
to the City of Lethbridge were immigrants, highlighting the importance of
integrating these individuals into the community effectively.
Such growth has heightened the demand for affordable
housing, making it challenging for newcomers, including skilled professionals,
to find suitable accommodation.
SettleEase Canada Foundation recognizes that access to safe,
affordable, and sustainable housing is a fundamental right. Through BASH, the Foundation
is taking action to address the urgent housing crisis in Canada, particularly
for Black newcomers and professionals.
