SettleEase Canada Foundation recognizes the unique challenges and barriers faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities in Canada. Our BIPOC Empowerment Initiative (BETI) is designed to provide targeted support and resources to empower individuals across different age groups to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
Newcomers:
Did you know that newcomers to Canada who receive adequate support are more likely to achieve economic success and social integration?
We understand that starting a new life in a new country can be overwhelming. BETI provides newcomers with essential information, resources and guidance to navigate the adaptation process, including social support, employment assistance, and connections to community services. We strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where newcomers can feel confident in building a successful future in Canada.
Black Professionals:
BETI assists Black professionals in advancing their careers and achieving their full potential.
Research shows that mentorship programs can significantly boost career advancement for Black professionals. BETI offer career counseling, mentorship opportunities, networking events, and upskills development workshops to help professionals overcome barriers and succeed in the Canadian workplace.
Youth:
Investing in the future of BIPOC youth is a key priority for SettleEase. BETI engages young people through dynamic programs such as in technology and sports, fostering their talents, building valuable skills, and promoting personal growth and community engagement. BETI create opportunities for youth to explore their passions, develop leadership skills, and connect with positive role models.
Seniors:
BETI recognizes the valuable contributions of Black seniors and provides support to enhance their quality of life. For instance, BETI offer technology training to bridge the digital divide, promote social inclusion, address senior abuse, and facilitate access to essential community services. In addition, BETI is designed to address health and wellness, financial literacy, and community engagement.
